My name is Tara, and I was born and raised in Washington State.
Â
In 2010 I married Bill (bmac62) and retired ... two of the best choices I ever made! :)
Â
In March, 2013, we sold our home in Washington and went on the road in our RV full time. What a blast! There is so much world out there to see!
After traveling around the West for a few years, we got rid of the motorhome and are now spending winters in deep-south Texas and summers in Washington State. Spring and fall finds us visiting whichever place strikes our fancy at the time!

You seem determined to drive yourself crazy - kids and animals, the most difficult of subjects... Great capture.

Oh, she is a sweetie! Marvelous capture!

Terrific pic all the same! Did you do the rolling-on-the-floor-growlingsoftly greeting-, I wonder.
bmac62
This is an impressive "capture". Because you did capture a very fleeting moment in time. I think she likes you now more than me...IAW what Andrea says above...you did greet her before me and gave her string cheese. You are "in":)

Oh my gosh, that is the cutest dog ever! Look at those ears, and that cute little tongue, and those inviting eyes...I fell in love with her. Give her an extra treat for me. How funny that you greeted Mandy before Bill. Poor Bill, but he doesn't seem too put out about it.

Cool capture of a real sweetie, Tara! When I was a kid, I had a dog that would absolutely freak out if you pointed a camera at him. Nothing else fazed him, but he was scared to death of a camera. Weird. It's like they actually know what it is..... But this is a wonderful capture!

That might be a "feed me" look...:)

Oh Mandy Well you came and you gave without taking But I sent you away Oh Mandy Well you kissed me and stopped me from shaking And I need you today Oh Mandy....... Good contrast and texture in this neato portrait of the uncooperative pooch.

Very Cute !

She is adorable! Some tribal peoples used to believe that the camera would steal your soul. I wonder if that is the same with dogs? I used to have the same problem with my cat.

Awwww she is so cute a great capture of this little girl. Well done!

Beautiful capture and the neckerchief is a great plus. Lots of cute. Dana

Whatever you did worked VERY well--this is just the sweetest shot!!

And I thought cats were bad! I guess anything that walks on all fours will just be impossible to photograph when you want to photograph them. But you managed a gorgeous capture, and I wonder if doing the rolling-on-the-floor-snuffling sort of thing would get her to stand still long enough to capture her, though during the whole rolling around and making growling-snuffling noises would probably make your shots interestingly blurry and get lots of "chin" shots of your canine target. Oh well...it's a thought. Mandy is adorable too.

Did you try duct taping a doggie bisquit to the top of the camera lens??? Great shot of this cutie. : )
