This is a just for fun shot, as I was making may up the infamous Hayes St Hill during the 12k run here in the city.
Thousands of people behind and thousands in front. I only had a split second to capture this or risk getting trampled. LOL!

Great capture! Many years ago I ran a couple of Bay to Breakers and I remember this hill vividly. B-to-B is more than a race it's a celebration and carnival - the costumes ( and lack thereof ) means there's never a dull moment over the entire course. Thanks for bringing back some great memories.

I can only imagine the feeling of being a part of this magnificent event. We had the Amgen Tour this weekend here and I missed it. Another case of lack of parking and this time - in my own city! Congratulations on your run.

WOW! A rampaging river of runners! Don't you just love alliteration? What really strikes me about this is the color and the really vibrant sense of life in action. Marvelous!
