Description
The Greenman and the Horned God (occasionally synonymous with each other) have fascinated me for many many years, and I have longed to be able to capture his vibrancy... his vitality, his... i don't think there's a word in English for what I'm trying to convey.
While I would consider this to be a work in progress, as I haven't quite reached my goal with this... this is actually a completed work... using a rough draft of what I hope will be my vision of the Horned God... the Greenman.
Edited to add: To those who've been following along, we're down to around a month until we fly one way from Alaska to Virginia, and i will be artless for months. I had a few spare minutes to play, so decided to work on my greenman while i still have my computer. LOL. we'll be ending up in middle tenn... and from what i've been seeing as i do research... its absolutely BEAUTIFUL. i'm getting more and mroe excited as the big day (days) approach. =D

Nice! There's a heck of a lot of myths and legends associated with that guy, sometimes associated with Pan too (unless I'm thinking of another nature god)

Fantastic conception of Cernunnos! Sorry to hear you'll be artless for a while, but I've visited Tennessee and it is gorgeous there! :D Be sure to visit Cherokee, North Carolina, too, if you get a chance--beautiful place and a lot of great things to see, both in terms of nature and Native American heritage. :)
