Description
In the Quiet of the Night Late at night, your mind awake, taunted and haunted by images which do not linger for the light of day. At such an hour, when all is quiet, inner doors fly open igniting a fire of thoughts which race through the corridors of your mind. Quickly kindled your emotions blaze leaving only wonder in the quiet of the night. Reflectively questioning, at times afraid, in the quiet of the night. In the quiet of the night the branches are cleared, the answers revealed, the pathway free to climb. Your eyes are those of knowing, your heart unleashed from pain. A holiness, so seldom granted, decorates the air. Infestations of tomorrow, like those which claimed today, will not reveal their presence, receding with reverence into shadow. Such is what adorns you in the quiet of the night. Alone, for a time, to wonder in the quiet of the night. -T. R. Bolan

Now this is real Film Noire. I can almost hear Bogie as Sam Spade speaking to Mary Astor in The Maltese Falcon; "Well, if you get a good break, you'll be out of Tehachapi in 20 years and you can come back to me then. I hope they don't hang you, precious, by that sweet neck...Yes, angel, I'm gonna send you over. The chances are you'll get off with life. That means if you're a good girl, you'll be out in 20 years. I'll be waiting for you. If they hang you, I'll always remember you."

Wonderful poem, Terry. It catches that special atmosphere and the mood of the night, thoughts and feelings, when you're awake... And Silvia's portrait is so classy, the black and white suits her perfectly...
