Description

I haven't posted anything or worked on any art for a couple of years, so this is my foray back into this world. I hope to post a lot more, because I really missed it. This is like a real world Hot Wheels car for me and I knew I had to get it when I saw it. I followed Mark Bremmer's excellent Dark Arts tutorial on creating a custom HDRI. The map is used for reflections only and all the other lights are in the scene in an attempt to mimic studio lights. I also used ambient occlusion and the the awesome new render passes in Carrara 7. And of course I did a lot of tweaks to come up with the ever elusive auto paint shader. More shots of the Ghost to follow. Comments are most welcome.

Thanks everyone. This is a fun model and I'm not done with it yet. More to come - I should be posting the side shot tonight. Again no HDRI just a reflection environment and light rigs made up of replicated spot lights.
