Description

Falling toward Earth. Falling from Earth orbit the thin upper atmosphere has caused the plunging CRCs heat shield to turn first a glowing red and then a blazing white. As the craft continues its decent the thicker lower atmosphere causes the craft to slow and its heat shield to rapidly cool and upon reaching the correct altitude its two huge parachutes remotely deploy to slow the craft until it is falling softly toward the ocean below.

I remember the returning Apollo capsules, always thought that had to be the wildest but scariest ride ever. Not so much 'riding the tail of a comet' as 'sitting in the middle of it'. Great render once again.
