Description

Thanks for your views, nice comments and favs on the "Confrey" image. Here another Halley-Chebyshev one. It has a XoaS look, but again it has been made with Ultra Fractal. Note the many "Fraser spirals" in it, in fact false spirals, giving a twisted cord illusion. Wikipedia writes about Fraser spirals that the overlapping arc segments appear to form a spiral; however, the arcs are a series of concentric circles. Of course in this fractal the circles aren't perfect concentric, but the Fraser effect, due to the coloring. is clearly visible This optical illusion was described for the first time by the British psychologist James Fraser in 1908.

Not that 'mad', I think! In the contrary. De metalen wervelwinden vind ik erg mooi. Het kunnen natuurlijk ook te veel wervelingen zijn, als ze in je hoofd (te) warm rond)draaien; tja, en dan wordt het een heel ander verhaal. Over 'mad' gesproken ;-)
