Description

Just by chance did I come across this little Australian Lizard, here he is in a camouflage mood, hanging around the garden-shed - of course trying to blend in - with the silvery galvanised aluminium colour (from head to tail - he measures probably about 6 inches or 15 cm). He is a regular around the home now and is never scared of me - on the contrary; he keeps very still and the only things that moves are his eyes rolling around rather cheekily and then he waits to have his picture taken and I have many ! I took some liberty with a rusty old stop valve in the garden & for some manipulation with a Xero - filter...and hey presto. Cheers *BB*

Great shot! It's good to see in the wild what people in the states pay good money for as a pet.

Wow! Super image. Not only is the dragon spectacular but what you did with the valve is marvelous as well. His tail showing through the cap part of the valve makes it all the better. Well done!

I really had no idea what that valve was until you told me nice photomanip! Odd how it took me a sec to spot the Lizard, it's not like he's got fantastic camouflage going there.

Well, another shot from way back (May 2010, before there was running water and electricity), another photo that has so many graphic and 2D elements in it. The stop-valve makes an almost ceramic background for the lizard, and your blend of it with the lizard poking through an open space is just grand. The hues of the flowers/leaves that he stands on harmonize with the rusty metal; and the branches push through other portions of the metal as well. I don't mean to ignore your current gallery, but since I did two in the front, I wanted to visit a few in the back. And these are beautiful pieces of graphic work. It almost feels like an Oriental design---amazing how you transformed the pedestrian rusted metal into an element of a Japanese print. Beautiful work, Brigitte. I'll be back again. This is very finely done.
