Description

V8I, unhappy with grany aspect on the sea, despite giving quality boost on high, puting off the bump. Does anyone give me some tip and trick on this problem ? Thanks in advance, for answer, and/or comment anyway. Full size recommanded Carpe diem Jean-Marie

did you use the global wave control in the water editor or the displament? The global wave control uses the bumps when increased... this could be one reason, the other possibility could be the amout of foam you have on the waves, maybe just a corretion of the alphaboost on the foam level would be an idea...smile Nevertheless a wonderful waterscape, a gorgeous athmo and an overall very fien render!

I have not experienced that problem with V8I. It's a beautiful atmosphere. I'm sure you removed the foam from the water material, so other than that I don't have a clue. Sorry.

Looks great! But to fix the grain just bump up the rays per pixel by 2 or 3.

I will not be much help on the waters, but I do see the rays on the sky is slightly grainy and I do know that the quality of volume light settings on quality boost can go past 4.0 if you type in the number, like 8 or 10, as the slider only goes up to 4. I have done this before on rays as most of my artwork reflects on sunrays....

Much less grain on the lights than the water. Only have version 6 but you might try blurry reflection doesn't appear to be in the quality settings. although with an image like this - trial and error renderings are going to be very taxing on the computer and yourself...good luck! look forward to seeing this fixed. It's still a great image The colors and atmosphere are totally awesome!!!!

Belle image.

Very nice scene. Great lighting and sky! Your AA might be set too low. Really nice render!
