don't think you have the corner on hillbilly hot tubs...LOL We had a small water tank big enough for one person to stand up in and we'd fill it so the water came up to arm pit level with water, set a solar pool cover over it to heat up in the 100+ degree temperatures and then in the evening we'd take turns standing in hot water to sooth sore muscles from a long day at work. After a few days, we'd drain the water out of a hose at the bottom and into the gardens, then start again. Had to give it up when our ladder broke and we couldn't climb up to get over the top rim. I thought about burying it about 3 feet in the ground to make it easier to climb in, but never figured out an easy solution to draining it if we did. And did you know you can do something similar using an old chest freezer (without the door)? Don't even ask how I know about that. LOL

Well Done sis, I see it is still working, do you still have the pump so the jets work ? Love the comments by MrsLubner - She could use PVC piping and a pump to drain teh tank if she buried it 3 feet. Probably easier to buy a new ladder. lol Hope things are getting better for you. Your always in my prayers F'nor - Michael

ROFL .. gonna be there when it gets hot next summer!! Truly ingenious hillbilly thinking .. fantastic "re-purposed" hot tub, now a cold tub, that would otherwise probably ended up in the local landfill! Gotta fave it!
