Columbia, MO. One dog and three cats. After almost a year of quiet I'm getting back into posting regularly.Â
My primary work is done with a Nikon D700, which is the best camera I've ever owned. I do infrared with a converted Nikon D50, and recently learned how to get good results with another D50 converted to full spectrum. Both D50's I converted myself, and it was difficult but not as hard as replacing the shutter.
I've been photographing for 30 years, starting with my father's Canon AE-1, but never got serious until digital came along. Primarily I do this as a hobby but I also photograph events for the organization I work for.

Incredible . . . this looks almost exactly like a retention pond in the woods just north of my house had been until the drought of '07, except that one had an unwholesome look to it, completely covered in green slime. That was bad enough but when the water dried up I couldn't begin to describe what was left exposed, a nightmarish vision of deer carcasses/skeletons, all kinds of trash dropped in it by Mighty Hunters and even a rusted-out '80s Oldsmobile Cutlass on the far side! Me and my dogs don't walk that way anymore, the place had already been creepy enough before its secrets were revealed, but we'd certainly enjoy a Pleasant Stroll in this far more cheerful patch of woods!
