Description
These things are everywhere in this area. This photo was taken between the Oregon border and Goldendale, Washington. They are so massive. The trees below are so tiny in comparison to the wind...fans? I could look up what they are actually called, but I just got a promotion today and I've been celebrating...so wind fan power maker things it is!

Wind turbines and they are one alternative to coal and gas-fired power plants. but of course, nobody wants them in their backyard because property values would drop, what would the neighbors say, yada, yada, yada... idiots all. Wonderful shot and congratulations on the promotion

You could also call them insane noise maker things. That's one of the biggest complaints about these things, the constant droning hum they make when turning. It can drive you nuts.
