Description

I recently entered a photo contest at the city's public library. I entered a photo and the manipulation (I was allowed to enter two images for free) I showed my parents the two images, this is one of them. Dad really liked this and asked me Thursday night if I was going to post this here. So this is for my Dad! The original image, which I will post tomorrow, is one of mom's beareded iris's and I had taken a shot, just after a rain and when the sun had just come out. I guess I've just got the gulf on my mind, because pictures like this remind me of it. I see a turtle that has discarded it's shell and is trying to climb through the grass by the shore line - and of course, everything is cover with sludge - cool image, probably not what you're seeing.... there is an eel on top of the turtle too - lol

Wow - that's a really great bit of artwork, Mike! It looks like it was done in oils, very reminiscent of a Monet. Outstanding – I agree with your dad! Best of luck on the contest!
