I don't know but I have a lot of trouble calling scribble on other peoples private property art.. I really like your photos clarity though.. This type of scribble is so costly to every cities rate payers...would be better if it was nice to look at... you get one in a thousand who can create something worth seeing..such a pity...

This particular 'scribble' is done in an area that actively encourages urban art. It brightens up once seedy alleyways, and attracts many visitors to the precinct. The café owners love the revenue and extra patronage that this 'scribble' as you call it brings in, and actually commissioned the artists and their art in the first place. The council even promotes tours of the area. Before the artists came, these alleys were total no-go zones full of drug addicts and cut-throats. Now they are thriving bohemian business districts. Saying all that I wouldn't want it on my front fence! Thanks for your comment.

Great piece of wall art, (scribble indeed) beautifully captured, and i believe there is a place for this, and that it is truly art.

If more people took the attitude that these shop-owners have, there'd be better art and less crime. plus it would take all the fun out of the tagging that is seen everywhere. Excellent capture

I love art of this sort, and a municipal area smart enough to employ local artists, usually for free. That's an idea that hasn't quite caught on in the USA, at least not in any large way...and when I look at this, I'm reminded of the drab tenements in the city where one of my friends was born. It's one of those dinky, little Siberian cities that looks too industrial for its own good; and according to rumors, the water is actually metallic! But anyway, the city in question invited local graffiti artists to beautify the place. The result is similar to this, though some of the artistic expressions are downright cryptic. I like that. I like this kind of art as well, it's the sort of vibrant, creative, fun stuff that life should include more of! You've got a good eye for seeing and capturing this and making it into a different sort of art--in this case, a brilliant photo. Really nice work.

I love city art and the people with brains realized how good it is and did something about it. They gave the artists a place to showcase what they can do and turned what sounds like a pretty bad area into something really great. Good on them!!
