Description

In June of 1944, the Fletcher class destroyer USS Ross took part in the US Marine landings at Saipan. To my Dad; signalman 1rst class John W. Gomperts, Captain Comdr. Benjamin Coe, chief quartermaster John T. Timmons and the crew of the USS Ross DD 563. Let us take this time to remember the victims of the holocaust; they are unsung heroes of WWII. The Nazi regime diverted many critical resources in the execution of their Final Solution. Ultimately the victims sacrifices led to the rebirth of the Great State of Israel! To those who believe that the U.S. can avoid a possible coming war with China by becoming like China, or the former U.S.S.R, Cuba, Venezuela…consider this wisdom from Solomon: And look! The tears of the oppressed, But they have no comforter-- On the side of their oppressors [there is] power, But they have no comforter. Therefore I praised the dead who were already dead, More than the living who are still alive. (Ecclesiastes 4:1-2) A peace without freedom is a worthless peace.
