Description

Hi everyone [^__^] (zoom in please) I'm happy to see that you are interested in following the progress of bringing this old ford back to life, I sandblasted the frame completely rust free and painted it with primer to protect from rusting, there are some fairly bad pits in a few places on the frame so I decided to reinforce the frame by adding new steel inside the frame and have drilled matching holes for attaching parts later, I temporarily bolted the steel in and will weld it later after everything is fitted. there are some badly rusted places at the lower rear wheel wells where I will have to shape and weld in new sheet steel, and whoever took this car apart did a bad job as the torched off the bolts leaving the holes that still have burnt off rivets and studs so that will be a challenge to remove those, there is no floorboards so I will have to make those after installing the running gear and suspension etc. I will keep the old v8 flathead engine but will soup up a small block ford 289 engine, and I will install mustang front and rear suspension and running gear ( i have already located those parts) this is a lot to read so I will write more next time, thanks to all of you that are interested in this project...I have never done this before but am very confident that I can do it [^_____^] Cheers, Roger

Hey Roger, you're working on it like you have real experience, not like a first-timer. Two years of work on it should keep you out of trouble for at least that long. (^_-)

WOW... that is quite a project. I can not wait to see the final results. Perhaps it will even make it down to Tennessee someday.. Hey you really need to invest in a few more tools LOL awesome to see this... best of luck. My brother Frank has your same hobby when him and his wife bought their last home she decided to build a separate two car garage designed in so he would have some where to live haha they even built a bathroom and shower in there and an office I don't think he ever goes into the house now lol maybe that was her plan.. :)
