The first artist of time is God, don't you think so?
We all learn by watching each other, and I am happy to find myself involved in such an adorable and creative community as Renderosity.
My first creation media was poetry when I was 12, and I definately fell in love with music at the age of 16 when I bought my first guitar... I still enjoy playing, composing and singing when my mood affords it :)
My interest for pictural art started later on, in my early 20's. I discovered a huge universal media capable of causing immediate impact just like music... I will always remember my art teacher in university, he would not teach us how to draw but HOW TO WATCH....
I started making physical collages 3 years ago, and also enjoy the pleasure that comes out of manipulating things, people, objects, mood and texture with Photoshop and sometimes Bryce and DAZ, too.
Hope you enjoy your visiting my gallery,
Elisabeth

@wingnut55: my cat would never do such a thing to me. I did it to myself, simple as that:)

When I first saw the image, I thought it was bacon or something! Then full sized zoom revealed human flesh qualities and it became a jarring meditation on the frailty of the human form: damaged either by betrayal (of a most grievous sort) or mock-damaged by inks, pigments, and photomanipulation. On any level, however, it's an effective and quite shocking piece, an intriguing (and equally disturbing) example of carnage, either literal or implied. I see this as a confrontation of sorts, a way of looking at something through art that is probably not so safe to look at otherwise...but that's the beauty of art, it's a way of exploring things that cannot or should not be explored in any other way. I noticed, too, that this is in the photomanipulation genre. I'm really intrigued at what manipulations actually took place, as the piece is so seamless that I can't tell where literal image and manipulated image are joined together.

@ Chipka: Well... All blood and flesh is real here. It is all mine... There really was a betrayal outhere and I had to engrave it on my bare skin. Some will call it sick, some will call it art, let's call it "sick art", that is pretty fine with me, Chip:) The only edit that makes it belong to the "photomanipulation" gallery is I made a collage of 3 different captures of my arms after . This is why this piece of work is so violent and graphic: it all made of human flesh, bones and blood. FOR REAL.

These two images are strong, arousing. I hope that they don't depict violence but am afraid that they do. Reads on...
