Description

Lange Voorhout (Long street at the front of the Forest) seen towards the other side.... The small house replaced a small alley towards the canals around 1700... So when richer people came to walk here, they were not ambushed from the alley :D Behind the houses (in the city center !) is the small (former) Portugese-Jewish area on an island between 4 canals and than you are in the Forest of The Hague.. So this is in the center.. and ever since the houses were build the edge of town.. The ancient forest always remained the border of The Hague / Den Haag were only the Royal Palace was build (17th century)
