Description

2nd in the Tom's Place series, not only did Tom give great tattoos but he also worked on harleys. It took 6 of us to lift this harley up a set of fire stairs to my first floor studio! I love the colours in this image, I shot the whole series on fine grained 4x5inch transparency, colour neg and black and white to make sure I had all bases covered. Tom's Place has only ever been shown in mono but this image screamed out to be presented in colour. Chrome prints from the tranny are unbelievable! Thanks for looking! cheers. Carl

This captures very nicely the stereotypical image of what bikers think real bikers look live and are - Very tasteful great tone and aura of vintage - I have been down a road lined with so many good people - sadly so many started pretending to be what they thought they where they forgot to be themself looseing there own self somewhere along the way -

interesting soul eater......"stereotypical" ..... now there is a comment..... or at least there was a hint of a comment until you wandered off on one of your own personal life experiences for all of us to share.... thanks..... I guess :)

I correct my sarcastic self....should you wish to relate to something personal after viewing one of my images....you do so... it is not my place to criticise, I apologise. Carl

great gritty work, oiled and inked, "old master" light. i bet riding the bike down the stairs was more fun than carrying it up...

This is just perfectly exposed - is it a composite? Whatever you did you did it right.

Fantastic setup and nice coloration - I guess that's the print process. Like the contrast of the mechanics with the carpet and chairs and the tatoo prints...it says so much about the place and the life. The use of light is excellent, as are the little touches like the ashtray and mag on the chair arm, the parts tray, the phone, and so on. It's a photgraph that describes a life, like your boxer, and I like that a lot!
