Born and raised in Oregon's beautiful Willamette Valley, I've been artistic, drawing and painting from an early age.
I became serious about photography in the mid 80's, and have won awards internationally. I am an incurable romantic and also love fantasy and sci-fi, as you can see from my photos.
On April 14, 2014, I married my childhood sweetheart. We were both widowed after long happy marriages.
"Without love.....breath is just a clock......ticking....." from the film EQUILIBRIUM.

Most wonderful image Shirley! The mood is spooky and the choice of monotone perfect! Great work as always!

In the midst of briars and weeds, it seemed to me very odd to distinguish a hut made of loose planks apparently as wild branches ... that traces a winding path amid the dense vegetation, greatly intrigued my mind awake ... you imagine that suddenly, a shadow fleeting borrowed bleeding ... was it the ghost of places ... Unfortunately the sunshine flooded the cottage!

Mysterious, quiet motion that carries drama in intrigue. The postwork is brilliant with just the right questions left hanging in the air...

Even given the shortcomings of the internet this displays a fantastic tonal range. This always happens to me as well - I'm settling down to take a nice snap of a window partly obscured by trees and a mad monk stumbles into view, ruining a perfectly good shot.Don't they teach respect down at the Priory?

I have Canterbury Tale's on my mind lately and this image flows naturally into that theme.
