Description

I Bought a beautiful little Azalea 3 years ago. It is beginning to look a bit tired. Doesnt give blooms all over, but only hear and there. I DOnt know if it was the cold Winter, or if I do something wrong. It is sour soil, as it is suppose to be. I wonder if I should prune it. Dont even know if it can be done. Though, I was lucky to get a nice picture of the few blooms it has. :-) Have a wonderfu day. Her it is wonderful sunny and not even cold weather. YES !!! Thank you so much for viewing and kind comments to my previous post and special warm thanks go to those, who added it to their favorites. :)

Maybe it would like feeding a bit, or maybe it is ill..I had quite a big Rhododendron which has just suddenly died..NO ideas why!

Beautiful azalea. They grow very well in south Louisiana, too, and, from a recent trip, in Ireland. In Louisiana we prune them back heavily right after they bloom when they get too messy looking. It is seldom very cold here and I don't know if that would work for you.

The blooms look good, but the leaves look a bit suspect?

This is a nice colorful patch! I don't know if it could or should be pruned back, but who knows, maybe a slight increase in fertilizer might help, or maybe transplanting? At any rate, you've captured a very beautiful flower. I like the name too, sometimes I think Azalea should be a woman's name, it just has that sound! And again, you've captured some amazing color and detail.
