Description

This is a sister ship of the USS Saladin, but it is classified a Hermes Class 1 Scout Class Starship. It is less well-armed than a Saladin Class destroyer, having only one single phaser bank under the main hull. The emplacements atop the hull are actually doors that give access to launching probes, etc. as this ship is a science vessel that also is used for espionage and ECM work during wartime. The USS Phoenix was captured by Orion Pirates and turned into a pirate vessel herself during one of my upcoming stories.... Comments welcome!

This might be one of those oddball variations what lack the style and symmetry of Mrs. 1701/1017 etc., but the image itself is brilliant, very evocative and atmospheric. But seeing this galactic seahorse in motion against the stars would have me on the floor laughing!
