My name is Tara, and I was born and raised in Washington State.
Â
In 2010 I married Bill (bmac62) and retired ... two of the best choices I ever made! :)
Â
In March, 2013, we sold our home in Washington and went on the road in our RV full time. What a blast! There is so much world out there to see!
After traveling around the West for a few years, we got rid of the motorhome and are now spending winters in deep-south Texas and summers in Washington State. Spring and fall finds us visiting whichever place strikes our fancy at the time!

Oh this is marvelous! An image distilled down to it's essense. I think I remember the original. Both work but on different levels.

No, the detail works brilliantly.. Unless you were sitting next to the guy, you would need a zoom lens to get this detail in a bigger size.. Its a fine picture.. Impressed.. Rob

A musician's hands. Jocko has made a very good point. Focusing on the hands lends a certain fascination to this photo. Makes me think about how many gigs this senior citizen has participated in over his life time. Excellent:)

Excellent! Sometimes you are lucky - or skilled - enough to capture a picture within a picture like this. Excellent choice of cropping on this one, Tara!

The hands are usually the most interesting parts of music: I love watching pianists, cello players, violinists, guitar players, and oboeists especially. Their fingers are so incredibly limber! This is quite a marvelous shot and I'm surprised I didn't comment on it until now, but it also comes at an interesting viewing time: These are the hands of a musician, playing in an Agaran Park, under which a machine has since been found! (If you look at this picture and those following, they tell a distinct story, and I love that!) What a shot! This is groovy stuff.

Beautifully melodic image. The hands are the instruments that transform the internal spaces into audible reality.
