Description

This is where I took the image I posted yesterday. Whenever I walk here I cannot help but be amazed by what the council, with a lot of enthusiasm from the Lostwithiel folk, not to mention help from Heritage Lottery, have done to what was a rubbish dump! Of course, prior to the dumping of trash here, it was a salt marsh. Which is what what nature decided make this area long ago....does anyone else see the irony here? For whatever reason though, it has come full circle and that is wonderful to see! What was also lovely to see yesterday were the number of Canada Geese and their goslings lapping up the sun. I saw 5 pairs each with at least a brood of 6 goslings! They don't fare quite that well in some places here. As mentioned here, shards of glass, pottery (some quite unique and old), and other small pieces of a past age are often evident on the path. That is why, at all times, I carry a bag with me ready to welcome such bits and bobs, as do many local folk. I suppose I should mention the mad mutt I adopted recently at this point. Ever heard the term 'going banana's'? I'm certain my British brethren know it. It means basically, 'losing it!' Which is what Barney does every time we come here. He now adores water, and as this is a marsh....well, I guess you can picture the rest. ^=^ Today, I shall walk the other side of the railway (seen on the right of this image), taking in meadows and woodland. Thank you for taking the time to look. ^=^
