Hi, I'm Marilyn. Â I've been posting here on RR for a few years now and thought it was time to update my profile. Â It's been wonderful learning so much from the amazingly talented people here. Â I've had the chance to meet many in person and some have become great and good friends. Â Starting with a Kodak Brownie camera when I was about 7 or 8, moving up to Instamatics, Polaroids, then the Pentax K1000 that really got me on the way, I've been looking at the world thru a lens for a long time. Â Got the bug honestly; my dad was a photographer and gave me the gene!! Â Digital changed the world and I jumped in with both feet. Â You would've gone thru 100's of rolls of film in one day the way we can shoot and delete all day long. Â Progess...it can be awesome sometimes.
At any rate, RR rocks, the talent is over the top and I'm just gonna keep on shooting!!
Thanks for looking and keep those cameras rollin'!!
peace.....marilyn

WOW! This is a really cool shot. I very clever angle. It's fascinating how familiar things can be transformed by an alternate perspective. The colours are so vibrant too, like fireworks.

Very interesting point of view. Be careful if you have to go up a ladder for this shot, though. LOL

Or a plant that's had too much to drink. That's one more for the road. Terrific effects in re the fronds, M, and an ultra cool POV employed to capture the feeling of plunging into the depths of the pot. Please check out my Ferrari posting for today.

LOL! Andrea brought out a great chuckle. I love this picture! This is on your patio? Fantastic! Your patio must be absolutely stellar! There's an odd pattern on the leaves, and I can't tell if it's a reflection from above, or something like sun shining off of a glass topped patio table or something like that. Oh well, it doesn't matter because it's stunning, and well...maybe I shouldn't admit this, but I've developed a fondness for Lady Gaga, and this leaf pattern looks like the sort of hairstyle she'd wear, only it's a gorgeous natural green and not the platinum blond she'd go for. Ah, but it's just as fun!

This is wonderful! I love the light catching whatever it is catching. It makes such beautiful patterns. Excellent POV, color and light! Loved Andrea's comment. She has a no tolerance policy on biting plants!
