Description
While Fabrizio mingles with the great and the good at Court, under his sister's watchful eye, Francesco has - unsurprisingly - managed to get into trouble. Tormented by the thought that Cristiano d'Anore is in the same city, almost within reach, Francesco is desperate to find a way to get at him. But he is thwarted every way he turns. The banker never appears at Court functions; he only leaves his house in the company of a daunting number of bodyguards; and his house is virtually impossible to get into. All Francesco has succeeded in doing so far is attracting the attention of a little troop of city guards who, after a spirited chase, have managed to corner him down by one of the canals. (At least, they think he's cornered. Judging from Francesco's expression, I don't think he agrees with them.) Even I feel a little bit sorry for the young lad at the back, who's being pushed forward by a fellow trooper with the (not entirely) reassuring words: "Come on my son; take him on; we're right behind you." In a minute, another guard will make an unhelpful comment along the lines of: "There's five of us and only one of you. You'll never get away with it." In saying this, he will neglect to consider the main rule of survival in fiction, which is: Never make comments of this type to the protagonist when you are a character so expendable that you don't even have a name...
P.S. Probably worth viewing this full-screen to see the details as it ended up in "widescreen" format :-)

Some small things: 1. Hand grip on stage right character needs tightening up - that's a heavy pike-staff he's carrying. 2. Feet - bend 'em all up a bit more so you can see the sole leather. 3. CG renders - particularly 3delight, seem to have a problem where right-angles meet. Even though you may be using AO, and the light is predominantly from stage-left here, a little black brush at about 5% opacity around the toes of the boots on the four characters in the foreground will plant them firmly on the ground.. Great stuff keep them coming..
