Thanks for the "update". I recall seeing a photo like this from the early 1960's. What I can't understand is this thing about standing there and WAITING, instead of being there in a reasonable time. I know the Queen once stooped to say or do something on an occasion like this. Standing a long time in hot weather and wearing a big, heavy, hot bear skin hat is inviting something like this. Looks funny, but sure isn't for the poor guy on the ground. What IS comical is how short the officer in front is in comparison to the men behind him.

Too funny. I was in the U.S. Army and whenever we had a Divsion change of command we had to mount bayonets on our M-4s and stand in fromation and wait for the pass and review...and wait, and wait...pretty soon guys would start dropping like flies with sharp pointy things going everywhere
