Description
I was remembering watching Halemaumau erupt when I was a kid. It left an extremely vivid impression in my mind's eye -- so much so that for years I wanted to be a vulcanologist (my mother managed to talk me out of it eventually). This is sort of an attempt to recreate what I saw. If anything the lava is not as incandescent as I remember it actually being.
