BIO
Since many, many years "amateur" painter, oil and watercolours, now photo addict ! When painting with oil "flirting with constructivisme" not really abstract... Time is flying... and I love writing too. Wrote my first book 3 years ago. Would like to pursue writing but.... RR is time-eating and so is hiking. What a dilemma !
About hiking : helas ! not anymore...2010 !

as always, Francine, your gallery is a bouquet of subtleties and beauty, and coming back to it is a genuine feast. I've been away for several months, but have seen many of your photos regardless...This has a soft patina, which is romantic (like your title). The pale yellow-green leaves have a reflective feeling (introspectif). And you captured some white blossoms, which give a gentle "accent" to the leaves. And your composition is sloping, gentle & intimate---a small walkway that's shaded by a wall & a small hill, and the shade of a beautiful tree. Very gentle, and beautiful. And the sky atop shines down on it all very nicely. You're one of our truly subtle artists. And this photo is lovely work.

This is why I miss life in Europe! I love that sloping wall, the way the perspective draws me in, the sense of life conveyed through the greenery, the subtle tones, the mood. This is quite a stirring and elegant piece of work. Romantic, yes, and also very, very contemplative.
