Description
The Traveler.
Carrara 8 render with heavy postwork.
This will be my last post on renderosity. I will only buy some content here, but that's it.
I don't post often my work, since I just create these things when I'm in the mood for it.
I feel that some of my artwork often disapears in the background because the right interested people are missing. If I would post a girl or something with humans, than yeah, it got often 300 visists, and probably more if it got some nudity... ugh, or in many cases, a lot of contacts.
If people even miss this like:

than I begin to scratch behind my head.
Sorry guys, but I will start to look something elsewhere...
But anyway, thanks for all your comments and your interest in my artwork.

while I can understand the disapointment of having worked hard on something and then feel like it got lost in a sea of work, much of which might have taken obviously less effort but be more alluring for lack of a better word, that is the nature of art. You cannot make people view your work, nor can you make them like it.personally, I think this is a great looking piece, and the stego you posted was also great both compositionally and in its execution. if only 10 people look at your work and 1 comments, it does not invalidate it. I have seen works here with tons of views and comments that I thought much less of than this. while your choice to find a "better place" for your work is obviously yours, there is still never a guarantee of appreciation. the audience is an afterthought in art I think. make your work for yourself, love it and forget the rest. anyway, best of luck and for what its worth, after browsing your gallery I think you have a really good eye for composition and a nice style, a couple of your pieces, the market place one for instance looked to me like a cross between jw waterhouse and anime, thats a pretty cool combo.

Sorry you feel you must travel on. This scene is a nice composition. I like it, the one tree in the middle looks out of place. good Luck dear, hope you find what you are looking for. :) There are thousands of members here, each has their own preferences... for posting and viewing, and commenting. You shouldn't feel slighted, I am appreciative of what I receive, It means someone took time to notice, and or comment.

In my view, art is a reflection of one's imagination. Not everyone is going to understand or appreciate all art. Based on many things, we are all selective in what we like. I think this image is technically well done. In addition, I like the title and what it implies. I like the structures that the Traveler is approaching for what possibilities lie there. This is an image that makes me think. I like that. But many people may not. I think it is a good image and a good reflection of your imagination and talent. But others may not. The main thing is whether or not you like it.

I feel what you say about not getting noticed, the genre of my choice is "Anime/Manga" and it is not a renderosity favorite either. However, I do feel that the very few people that did noticed my works, yourself including is more than enough to keep me going. Thank you for sharing your work, techniques and TIPS<- (Your's tip on IBL lighting opened up new Ideas for me) This particular work is amazing. I did like how you've mastered postwork and been heralding Carrara. I could see this along a gallery with Thomas Kinkade :-) Best wishes on your move do keep some of us posted on your next choice of media.
