Cool shot. It is easy to underestimate how small these Damselflies are until you have something for perspective. Your hand illustrates this nicely. Thanks for sharing. Lee

VERY cool! Excellent shot! Do you know what these damsel flies start out as? Ant Lions. They live in the ground and form cone shaped pit in soft sand - kind of like that monster in the desert in the Star Wars movie - and when a hapless ant comes along the loose sand causes it to slide down to the bottom of the pit where the ant lion grabs it with it's jaws and devours it.
