Description

Taken through the fence into my mother's neighbor's yard. Lucinda took some that day, too, so hers may show up later.

I remember that day! I was writing a letter on the laptop, my mind totally engaged and you dragged me outside. And for very good reason! You had noticed beauty and light. Wonderful capture of it! We walked around a bit, and took a "few" (lol) pictures. Then Amy and DJ came out and more pictures! This is lovely! I love the dof, the light on the petals and the pointy bits on the sepal! Beautiful background! You must show it to Aunt Sally, all the different greens! ;-) I'm still lost in the wilds of NYC, so my pics from that day may be a while.

This is a splendid shot, especially since I'm on this Fibonacci Spiral kick, for some odd reason. Roses (like galaxies, snail shells, strawberries, cowlicks, the paths of atomic particle, etc) follow the Fibonacci Spiral perfectly, and what's so marvelous about that is the fact that for all of their similarities, roses are so distinct from one another! This is a perfect example: the light and the color are amazing, and I love the not-fully-open aspect of this particular blossom. This is super!
