Description

Please view full size, thank you! This is the lovely Anna by Val (Godin). Val was a bit unsure whether I could make Anna into one of my warrior maidens, but she was willing to let me try. She told me she had envisioned Anna as more of a delicate English Rose. In my first attempt I turned her into the wicked sorceress thief Hagred from a wonderful story and vendor package developed by Pixeluna here at RMP. I had a lot of fun with Anna as Hagred but I also wanted to try her again with something a little more typical of my style. So this is my second version of Anna. Here she is more of a Canterbury Tale type of fae; this is probably closer to Val's minds eye view when she created Anna. At least I hope this is the case. (Note, her fae ears were taken from one of her older sisters, Anna comes with only human morphs.) Val, thank you for the wonderful Anna, she indeed is an English Rose; she is both strong and beautiful. This is another addition to a set of images that fit an ongoing theme that has naturally evolved in my gallery: "Nature's Daughters." This beautiful title was gifted to me by Terry (Tea_Rex) who was the first to notice them. I do not make any image with the deliberate intent that they will wind up as a Daughter, they just happen and it is usually not until an image is fully completed that I realize: "Ah, there's another one." In that sense they are all a bit of magic. Here are the core Nature's Daughters, there are others, but these are my own faves: "Trust" "Serenity" "Reflection" "Surprise" "Dream" The Hagred version of Anna: Previous

Her outfit is Elfin by Thorne at DAZ. Had this outfit in my runtime for over a year now and finally got the chance to use it!

Roxy you really did one heck of a nice job on this one hon. You managed to bring Val's lovely character to life in a truly exciting manner. I honestly don't think the setting could be any more perfect.

I like what you have done here. Though I can easily see her being a Victorian English rose... You expression and body language have transformed her into a very believable Fae protector... nicely done

Indeed a beautiful lady! I like the posing in this. I agree with Rod. You did a great job with the facial expression. She does appear very focused on her target. As I look at the dragon I find myself wondering what he is saying to her. Is he a master mage, giving instruction? Nicely done Roxy.

I like this, Rox'. The overall tone style reminds me of the paintings of the Nineteenth century artist Godward.  There is a quality to the colors like illuminated oils.  Lovely to view. Mostly I am enchanted by this expression on her face.  You know me and the human face.  Do you know the emotion which the Portuguese call Saudade?  It is an undefinable yearning which if you have ever felt there is no means to adequetely convey through words.  They say Alexander suffered terribly from the affliction of such yearning .. and that often he would weep just gazing out into a landscape.  Perhaps his great drive was fueled by a need to somehow discover a healing for this ache of spirit.  We'll never know. I see such a yearning in your Anna and can feel this emotion through her eyes. It is a beautiful longing. Know that this work became a favorite before I read through your caption.  Though .. I smiled all the more to read your words.  "Nature's Daughters" they truly are, and lovely every one. With warmth and friendship, Terry

You appear to be one of a handful of artists who give dragons an ACTUAL personality -- they move with grace or have a "gaze" if you get my drift--one reason why I like your stuff--very nice!
