A butterfly on the hand is worth 2 in the bush....no wait, that's supposed to be birds I think. Either way it's a good omen. I hope she enjoys her new home!

So that's what it means when a buttefly lands on the back of your hand. I have often wondered. Ok what does it mean when a bird poops on you? I don't get much butterflies landing but birds....
