Description

African Daisies. I plant these every year because they are sooo easy to grow and mostly because I am a total 100% blue freak:) The centers are an amazing deep shade of cobalt blue thanks to the charm and magic of Mother Nature:) As to the oil disaster in the Gulf I am a longtime member of Greenpeace and am so majorly ashamed to be American right now:( Grrrrrrr...

The strong colored petals just help the blue stand out. Gorgeous.

What a colorful flower, I'll have to remember these for next year to add more color to my flower garden.

I plant African Daisies also but mine are the orange and yellow varieties. A more wild strain, I believe. They come up anywhere they please after the second year. :-) This is a gorgeous shot you did. The blending of color is marvelous. I'm not a member of Greenpeace...I don't agree with all their actions, but I am a life-long member of the human race and I find the BP incident to be an attack on mother earth. There will be a Native American prayer day held on the 19th to ask for a repair of the earth to begin. You can bet I will be part of that circle.

Such a wonderful dreamy shot of the ever so eager African daisy!!! They grow wild here (in South Africa) and I love them! As to the Gulf incident - it is tragic! Let us all pray for appropriate and successful action and the healing of the earth!

This is great, beautiful image and the detailing is superb! As to the Gulf situation, I'm beyond angry and disgusted and to the point of complete incrediousness. The situation has become utterly absurd. I lived in Sarasota, Florida for two years, right on the Gulf. To think that this beautiful part of the country is being turned into a giant polluted cesspool is sickening. Not to mention the toll on the economy and people's lives. I have family who still live on the Gulf and just about everyday I get horror reports. Makes you sick. Anyway, this is a lovely shot.
