Description

this was taken on 5/2/2010 when I went to holley beach to see if there oil on the beach there. at that time no oil. Anyway I saw this building on the way back and know it was this way for i guess 5 years now when Rite came thought southwest louisian. It the same year that New Orleans was hit with a storm. Anyway these people in this part of louisiana did not get the help like New Orleans. Guess they should have shot at people trying to help them maybe the news would have show it on TV and they would get help. I got a lot to say about New Orlean people but it not all nice so I not saying i know the sky is blow here but i was useing a point and shoot here.

I know what you mean about NO and how many suffered from Rita and got little or no help. She hit pretty hard in this area (Sabine Parish) but luckily we fared well overall with only minor storm damage.

Without your explanatory narrative my interpretation of this photo would have been totally different... A meaningful capture, well done!

Cool shot with that wicked tree in the center of the image, Jock, but really a pile of junk at the bottom. And I'd like to hear about the New Orleans people.

This is an amazing shot Jock, and it really is sad to see that so many people lost everything and didn't get any help. Thanks for reminding us my friend.
