Description
I didn't forget you, Dana.
Captured 6/5/10, at the beautiful 25th Annual HB Concours, held at the beautiful Huntington Beach Central Park in beautiful Huntington Beach, California.
Much better viewed full size.
Among other items, can you dig those headers, or that grille?!
To avoid confusion, that's the right rear wheel in foto #3, as opposed to the left front wheel previously shown in the first posting of this unique vehicle.
Adios, thankx for popping in, and for any and all complimentary comments and faves.

sometimes you give us montages of beautiful exteriors, sometimes you show us all kinds of inside shots & engine shots, and this one---clearly the latter---is bursting with wild chrome lines & lights & mechanical shapes to hit the eyes. A cornucopia of all kinds of shapes, forms, lights, recesses & exploding surfaces! It's a giddy montage, showing us how intense these things were when new; and their visual music is quite tumultuous. (I wonder if, after shooting these all day, you need eyedrops. I'm only partly kidding, lol.) A very intense & visually arresting montage, and a real display of the order plus seeming chaos that inhabits these beasts. (It's not chaos to a mechanic, I'm sure. But to someone who knows nothing of these workings, they do have an element of visual chaos.) And on a bright sunny day, they must be like jewel chests shining in the sun. You remind us that, when seen in the right light, these are big splashing metal sculptures, in addition to being big old classic cars; and they're riotously fun to look at. More of your fine car work, Harry, and for me a great discovery. What a riot of form & light & metal! Oh---and on the "root beer" in my lake shot: Lol. I thought it looked like chocolate syrup myself, so you were alot closer to water! (Bill thought it looked a little like mercury.) I think the foam floating over the pier helps the root beer vote immensely. Good observation. Some of my water shots look like lava. Don't ask...I have a thing with water...

It certainly is a pretty thing! I love the details (I don't know the names of things, but the wheel in the first one connected to the belt) and the rich colour. Someone clearly loves this baby quite a lot! Great series of shots!

Thanks for this rerun of the 1930 Model A. Henry Ford said...any color as long as black...:) What do you think he'd have thought of this? Maybe he'd have sued for copyright infringement...who knows? Fine follow-up Harry.
mermaid
