Description

In the left most background is 3 Monkshoods, in the left foreground are 2 varieties of Spiderwort, and to the far right, a Delphinia. These were taken last summer, I had found a few pics on my camera's flashcard. Unfortunately, only 1 of the 3 Monks hoods and the Delphinia survived the winter. The Spiderworts didn't make it. Last fall was too warm, too long so some of the flowers didn't go into their dormant mode. Then this spring, right up to almost end of May we kept on getting rain mixed with snow.

Well...at least this year we have enough rain so the lawn isn't dead like last year. Does crab grass count as a Perennial?

Heheh, good question Madbat... Yeah, the lawn was looking worse for wear last summer also...

We had plenty of spiderwort this year, one of my fave flowers, possibly because it's the first 1 I identified out of a wildflower book my dad gave me when I was 7 or 8. I'm amused that here in Arkansas you can buy them in the nursery, since they grew wild in Florida. Is that a white 1 in the foreground? I'd nrver seen anything but the deep purple until our store got in magenta.
