I thought I'd lost this but trawling through the 'Lost gardens of folders' - (akin to The Lost Gardens of Heligan - only not so pretty! ^=^) - yesterday, it jumped out at me from behind the magic looking glass I keep ever handy - or not. ^=+ Okay. Nonsense over. This is Pixie Land on Dartmoor. It is where the entire population of Dartmoor pixies live, along with a few runaways from Cornwall and most of the Welsh Mining Dwarves. Only don't dare tell the Devon folk that! (It's a West Country thing!!) This image would have looked a lot better without the fish eye effect, but you try telling thousands of disgruntled, pitchfork-wielding pixies that they can't be in the picture not to mention the look on the faces of the axe carrying dwarves!! The dwarves by the way might not look real, but I swear to you...on... the precious... they are. Truly! They are just a lazy lot who prefer standing around all day fishing! This was taken on the last day of opening before the Winter break, but now they are in full swing again, I shall be returning very soon. They sell the best organic preserves on the planet, and some of the most bizarre (and delicious - Chili for instance!) flavours of marmalade! I wouldn't buy anything else!! Now I'm off to placate one of the pixies that decided to come home with me.... Want, want, want! ^=^ As a small aside, I just (two minutes since) saw a water vole in one of my ponds! Wheee!
