Description

This is another character in my little elven world. Lady Swiftbrook is really quite a striking lady though this image isn't overly flattering. Not too many folks look their best when they're bellowing a challenge at demons. She is one of two Sky Elven representatives on the High Council for the Elven Nation. She has the distinction of being the first non-dying elf W'rath stumbled across when he wandered out of the Abyss during the demonic invasion of Second Home. Despite their many differences the two get along shockingly well. She refers to him as "the little imp" and he, always formal, calls her "madam". When there is need of a diplomat Lady Swiftbrook is usually the individual sent to attempt negotiations. On those occasions when things go badly she turns to W'rath and says, "Well, they're all yours now. Ancestors rest their souls." The outfit this time around is a kit bash of a few items. The armor is from Angeluz Fantasy Armor by Val3DArt and Lesthat (DAZ) with some freebie silver shaders applied to it. The gown is from Fantasy Separates Vol. 3 by Xena and Sarsa (DAZ), and the belt and outer skirt are from Fantasy Separates Vol. 1 by Xena, with textures by ShanaC (DAZ). I applied a freebie chainmail shader to the dress. The skin texture is Lady FrostWhisper by Countess and -Silver- (Rendo). Hair is Aaliyah Hair by OOT and Bice (Rendo). The demons are Mythos: Nyhlloghast by Sixus1 (RDNA). I grunged them up a bit in post. The Glowy spell affect is from one of Jepe's packs at DAZ. The structure is Pavilion of Montchanin by Thomas Tomalin (DAZ). The lights are Lantios lights for the basic render. I also did an additional render with just one distance light with shadows turned on and one render with just a point light for the spell fx. I combined them all in Photoshop

It is a very interesting picture. I like how you play with light and dark focuses, and how actually blue and whites/silver work very well together. I like that her outfit is quite practical :) The only thing that I would play more with is a focus of composition. The lady is in the middle of a picture with a bright white flash on left and very strong blue-and-gold colors on right. I would work a bit with those three elements (flash, the lady and the flag) a bit more so for an eye of a viewer it will have a more dramatical focus. But otherwise it is very good :)
