MMMMM, tricky one this, do i stay with Daz or do more in Poser ?... I have just updated my content in Poser 8, mainly so i can help a dear friend out here and thought i would do a little test render in Poser...now i like the way the lighting turned out in this render but found it frustrating to do the scene, the render took a while, now if i had done it in Daz it would have been quicker, but would the lights and shadows been as rich ?, i don't know....tricky Thanks for the peek, hope your weekend is going well.

Its a good question...I guess you could set up the same scene in Poser and DAZ and compare them side by side. From my limited experience in Poser it seems that it helps you out a lot more with the lighting. And Poser MATs seem to render sharper than DAZ ones. But I also find the Poser interface very frustrating because of its fragmentation. In any case, a beautiful scene here!

Well as you know I am trying to learn Poser and I have to say Daz is much easier and better organized but Poser does have features I like also ! Great image !!

Yes that is a tricky one because each has its good points and bad, I love the lighting in Poser but not how you set (move /adjust) the lights the interface to me is awkward I prefer the sliders in Daz, and love material room in Poser. But found the render time slow, and the libraries a pain as every time you close a folder it goes wayyyyy back to the start and you have to wait then scroll way back to where you where.. I like Daz where the folder is above and icon pic is underneath and doesn't go zooming back to the start each time you close a item folder and you can put mats in a folder with the items they apply too.. I think the choice is really an individual one often it is what you have been using from day one though I started with Poser 4 and have poser 7 now, which seems to crash a lot, so I stayed with Daz which crashes every now and then but not as much as Poser..

This is a great image. I've no experience in Poser (at the time I could not afford it) so I've been working with DAZ. I guess it is a matter of personal preference.

I know what you mean here, I wish daz and poser could merg....now that would be a dream for me as I think daz is so much better and easy to use, but poser lighting is great...I can render a huge scene in less then 5 in daz and it will take at 30 minutes in poser ( when I am working on BG'S ) if I had people in them it would take all night in poser lol. Anyway good to see you missed you. Have a great day!
