Hi, My name is Bill and I am updating my homepage to reflect a wonderful event in my life...marriage, September 18, 2010, to my best friend Tara...known to many of you as auntietk here on Renderosity.
We "met" shortly after I joined Renderosity in August 2008. We share a love for photography and indeed all types of art.
We live north of Seattle and enjoy getting to share photographic excursions and information with other Renderositians ( is "Renderositians" even a word? ). LOL
As for me, it seems like I've been taking pictures all my life but I didn't get serious enough to purchase my first Digital Single Lens Reflex (DSLR) camera until May 2008. In May 2009 I upgraded from an Olympus E-510 to an Olympus E-30 with a wide variety of lenses.
My subject areas of interest include absolutely everything but with a frequent return to airplanes, cars, tanks, etc., ...or as Tara says, machines that make lots of noise;-)
If you are curious, I am pictured above in a Grumman Corsair on a taxiway of the Kansas City Downtown Airport. I used to fly and train others to fly airplanes. That will explain my frequent forays into the world of aviation. Last but by no means least, thanks to Pannyhb for introducing me to Renderosity. The moment I saw it I was hooked.
Fine print: Yes, the photo above is a photo manipulation:-)

They sure put on quite a show for you, I am glad you were able to get your camera in time,, lol how many of us keep a camera on us as we are weeding??

Pretty good shots taken under adverse and inadvertent conditions, Bill. Now if they had thrown a couple of Zeros into this mix then you would really have had something to witness and photograph. And, it was Jimmy Doolittle piloting the B-25 as it flew overhead. I can't imagine Spencer Tracy playing Doolittle in the movie, because the General was bald. I remember Van Johnson felt real bad about losing his plane after the raid.

You were quick to get these great photos. I usually end up with a great sky view. Well done.

Right place, right time! (at least the second time through) ;) Sometimes all you get is one. Good catch!

Being an old movie nut I'm familiar with that film. I laughed when I read the title. These are amazing captures! As someone who tries to photograph life in motion/moving objects regularly,I know how difficult it can be and how much concentration and co-ordination are involved. For as fast as these babies must have been moving these are great!

This is superb, and leave it to the insect nut like me to think that those are mating stripes! Some people! Ya can't just show 'em a great photograph without them thinking of bugs, and whether or not those stripes attract females or intimidate other males! These are quite stunning for "quick images" and the collage is perfect! I would love to have heard these puppies flying overhead. I've seen fewer B-25s, and that's a shame...they're as impressive as their bigger cousins, and have better fashion sense too. I have yet to see a B-52 that looks as good in stripes. This is fantastic and I'm glad I finally got around to seeing it.
