Description

I thought it was time I uploaded another photo. this is one of my favorite shots from my little trip to spruce woods. in fact, I printed it out for myself as 12x18 to hang on the wall..yes I can print it out even larger if I wanted to but that is big enough. this one is taken while standing on a bridge...I loved the sky and clouds so I turned the camera to get a vertical shot. The water is the Assiniboine River in Manitoba. Taken of course with my olympus e300 dslr..and the 14-45 mm lens. oh and yes I did process this with dynamic photo hdr

This is a wonderful vista, Cheryl. The HDR draws every ounce of drama out of the sky but the power of this photograph is within your eyes. The perspective and composition make this a powerful image. As viewers we are drawn into the current of the river .. I can actually feel this pull sitting here. I am wishing I had a boat to climb in and drift on down a ways. The division of the levels between water, land and sky are just right. The trees along the bend on the right serve as a visual anchor that makes the scene even more interesting to view. I could live with this on the wall also, it is very uplifting to gaze into. Nice work! Terry
