Description
The moisture from the ground seeped into the rough cloth that made up the fabric of her pants. Gloved fingers gently moved blades of grass aside to see the ground between the clumps of green. Her mind only halfheartedly focused on the ogre track. Part of her mind confirming that she was on the right path. She wasn't a tracker by half, but it wasn't hard to find the heavy footprints that the ogre had left behind.
He had broken through the lines at Caer Nital, and managed to barrel his way through the moongate and through to another part of the world. She had followed, leaving her soldiers behind to keep up defenses against the ongoing onslaught of the winterland border. Her brow pinched at the reminder.
Anger churned in her, like she'd suddenly become an angry waterwheel, turning it over and over
in her mind. The sweetness that once marked her face with innocence was long gone. She felt betrayed, by everyone that had ever mattered in her life. Including herself.
Her teeth bared in a brief snarl, and she threw herself forward, bow in hand after the Ogre.
She didn't think he would survive long in the warmer tempratures, but she was going to make sure.

Fabulously done story, makes me want more! I love this fantasy character, very realistic looking outfit and pose, makes her very interesting. You did a nice job merging the foreground scene with the backdrop photo. I think the shadows need to be a smidge darker to show up properly, but all in all this is outstanding. Definite FAV for me!

Cool story! Is it a start to a series? If not, it should be. Note to elf: when hunting, especially dangerous prey, keep your calm! Irritation causes mistakes. Mistakes make you dead (or lets the prey escape). Words from a hunter.
