Description
ok - this is an old terragen 2 Image not Mojo.
I have sold my licence with accept of the manufacturer Matt Fairclough.
Maybe it´s possible to buy a licence from a Mojo-User who doesnt work with mojo anymore?????
Anybody out there???
I am in search of a german mojo-forum too and of course tutorials.
- Thanks -
Frank

First, this is one of the best detailed TG terrains I've seen in a while, granted I don't do a lot of TG browsing but why are you stopping when you get such great results with it. Second, sounds like a Setup to me Peace

AFAIK, it is still possible to purchase a license through Pandromeda - perhaps directly from Doc Mojo. Write to him and inquire. I don't know of any exclusively German Mojo forums. We're lucky to have this one, in English! There are several German-speaking users that post here. Tutorials come and go but you can ask any questions here in the forum.

thx for your replies. Terragen 1 was fun for me. Terragen 2 lost all his fun for complexity and his long rendertimes for an acceptable quality (for my opinion). i dont want to make the same mistake again. so i am honest thats an attempt to get the full version cheaper. at ebay you can get other 3-d-graphic-software like cinema 4d as second hand. the only thing its to reregistration from his name of your name by the distributor and that´s legal so why not? i have tested the mojo-viewer and have to say it´s fun and i maybe i like it t but maybe for a bit less money. Mojo is for me not a photography-reality renderproggi, but thats exactly the Point. I like the charm of Pherry rhodan like Images...its completely other looking like terragen.

If you don
t want the complexity in the software, may be you should try MojoWorld Focus. http://www.pandromeda.com/products/mojoworldfocus.php It
s only $49. Understanding the full version of Mojo would take you much more time then understanding TG2(there@s not much info and support, for one thing. As WP-san pointed out, this is the last outpust of Mojo knowledge on the net:(Danny_G
Mojo is very complex IMHO, I know your TG work very well and you are one of the Old Skool Masters of it. As Slav mention its just as complex as TG 2, Render times are quicker than TG 2, but a lot to master, interface is very unique.

Both apps are just as complex in my opinion but for different reasons. Mojo is complex because it has immense variety in ways of manipulating your shapes. This makes it a very artistically creative app proven by all the superbly imaginative work done. Everything you learn takes you forward. TG2 is complex because it has been made difficult to work with. It also has one fractal with essentially two perlin basis functions. Yes, you can create extremely photo-realistic scenes but I have returned to Mojo yet again. TG2's current rate of development would mean that even in ten years it will not have surpassed Mojo. Actually I should correct that. TG2 has two fractals. There is another that uses a kind of voronoi basis to create alpine like terrains as seen in this render (I presume) but it's SLOW. I see problems ahead for TG2 because of this lack of fundamental form shaping with fractals and basis functions. Vue has more. In fact Blender has more. These applications have to appeal to artists, not click and get results or the other extreme of having to be a mathematically proficient shader designer. This = no art. I am currently setting up a dedicated Mojo machine running under Linux Wine. I will switch on and all that's there is Mojo. It will autostart Mojo. I will post in the Mojo forum about that.

Whats going on ..TG2 users looking to move back/to mojo.."eh-gads" can this be real..can the populace of 3D terrain designers finally have awoken to the fact that mojo is still a shining product in this realm despite its many flaws?! ;-)

Stick with the camera, my friend. Can't do TG2, Mojo is better... or there is always Vue!

mojo = steep learning curve agree with Bob: or there is always Vue!
