Description


This is the same one as in the previous upload, same perch, about 30 minutes later. Fog gone and lighting shifted as did I to another side for the sparkle in the wonder of those wings. Highlights rule here. I have one more in this series of the same dragonfly, the next being..well, closer to normal for a macro view. Sharpening in Lightroom and crop only, no other post work. It was a fortunate day.

Beautiful capture. I once saw a Japanese dragonfly in silver that looked very much like this, it had articulated moving parts and it too was exquisite looking. Of course, nothing beat the real thing.

I love the uncommon POV here. Dragonflies are all-too-often seen from two or three particular angles, and this is excellent in that it shows quite a lot of the dorsal details! Wonderful light. I'm glad I'm finally catching up! I've missed some good stuff!
