Description

AloooooooooHa~ Kaimu beach on a morning I probably shouldn't have been standing so close. I was after a shot inside the wave, and pretty much got it here. Got pounded a little, but like any good photog in this situation protect the camera at all cost. Soaked myself pretty good, some blood was involved, but the camera survived impact. The wave actually filtered the sun pretty good giving me good exposure to the inside section. This wave is a backwash coming down a steep grade back into the ocean as another wave crests and breaks at the same time. I was happy with the many colors produced by this exposure. Hopefully I won't get beat up as bad the next time. Thanks for stopping by, always a pleasure to see you have been here~ Aloha to All~

Show this to sharky, the last picture I seen kinda freaked me out, it's a picture of a guy standing on lava taking picutes... I've never seen water look quite like this, it's a nice change - I love sharky's lava pictures, but ya gotta get him into taking these kinda shots for a while - great shot!

I can't find the words to adequately describe this. Outstanding, stunning, superb, amazing. None of them quite cover it. Surreal perhaps? I think Tara got it right. Perhaps your best ever.

I think I would feel safer on the lava fields than standing side by side with you taking this picture. You took more than a risk getting this picture but worth every penny of it. Glad your camera is safe.... Superb shot. Loha

Wow! All the superlatives to describe this image have been taken and they seem so inadequate to express the beauty and artistry of the shot. Well done!
