Hi, I'm Marilyn. Â I've been posting here on RR for a few years now and thought it was time to update my profile. Â It's been wonderful learning so much from the amazingly talented people here. Â I've had the chance to meet many in person and some have become great and good friends. Â Starting with a Kodak Brownie camera when I was about 7 or 8, moving up to Instamatics, Polaroids, then the Pentax K1000 that really got me on the way, I've been looking at the world thru a lens for a long time. Â Got the bug honestly; my dad was a photographer and gave me the gene!! Â Digital changed the world and I jumped in with both feet. Â You would've gone thru 100's of rolls of film in one day the way we can shoot and delete all day long. Â Progess...it can be awesome sometimes.
At any rate, RR rocks, the talent is over the top and I'm just gonna keep on shooting!!
Thanks for looking and keep those cameras rollin'!!
peace.....marilyn

Great camouflage, makes an interesting shot!

Reminds me when I was fishing with white bottle floaters. The seas came rough and everything was white caps. Those white bottle floaters just blended with the rough white cap seas. Lost my line and floaters. My next floaters was all bright florescent orange.... Its lucky that you could keep focus on these guys. Nice shot... Aloha

Thinking about the conditions - fantastic shot. Dana

Lots and lots of highly contrasting textures in this foto, Marilyn! And, I figured by the title that it was either ducks or an unlicensed doctor.
jocko500
wonderful shot

When you see them...you (and us) must shoot them:)

The first thing I thought of when I saw the title to this was Pavl proving that he isn't a duck. It seemed important for him to confirm that on that day long ago. On another note though, I love this non-traditional duck-shot; it is ducks, two of them, and yet it's also deliciously abstract and interpretive. I love the colors and the patterns that the water ripples/waves make. This is quite exciting. Yeah, and it's a good shot too.
