Description

It is said to have been invented by François Vatel, " maître d'hôtel " at the Château de Chantilly in the 17th century.

Such an elegant image! I love the brilliant strawberries, but then I love strawberries, and well...with any kind of cream is just all the better! This is quite an appetizing photograph, full of elegance and an invitation to sample it! Wonderful!

very subtle capture of a very sumptuous treat. The textures & subtle light on the cream are quite fine. And the background is suitably dark to let the strawberries & cream stand out. Sumptuous. FIne work Mary, a real mouth-teaser!
