A great picture, but could be better, IMO This is a case where much less depth of field would have helped the image. Looks like you were shooting stopped down to f8 or f16 . . . the signs on the outfield wall are only slightly blurred, and distract from the subject. Getting decent blur is hard with small sensors and telephotos

This is FABULOUS. The action is so amazing and stopped for perfect focus. Not an easy thing to do in a split second. I tend to disagree on the depth of focus comment. For me, it puts him on the field with some perspective of his size and the diamond's size.
